What is happening now in Pampanga Real Estate Philippines Part 3

Tourism is a Top Priority here

With the cheap airfares and budget travel on the rise. People are getting into traveling other places within the country or overseas. This creates a new opportunity for local tourism to spring. The national government is considering it making Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) as a dual airport with Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Paranaque City, Metro Manila.

DMIA has been servicing international budget carriers such as Tiger Airways, AirAsia and others airline companies with international flights and destinations from Asian countries or cities like Hong Kong, Bangkok, Seoul and even Darwin, Australia.

Local budget airlines such as Cebu Pacific, Zest Air, PAL Express have already been servicing air transport and passenger services to local destination in southern island of Visayas and Mindanao regions from Diosdado Macapagal International Airport at Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga.

In a newspaper published report from The Philippine Daily Inquirer DMIA is expected to serve 750,000 passengers by the end of this year. By next year, "the number was seen to breach 1 million" said by Clark International Airport President Victor Luciano, in an interview.

Historical Pampanga: Interesting tidbits and historical treasures in Pampanga

Emilio Aguinaldo Portrait from Malacanang Palace
On my research, there are many historical places to visit in Pampanga ranging from the adobe heritage houses dating back from the Spanish colonial times to other historical related and significant any visitor should visit.

In 1762-1763, the town of Bacolor was the capital of the Philippines during the British occupation of Manila in  when the Spaniards under Simon de Anda retreated in this town.

The San Fernando Train Station were our national hero, Jose Rizal disembarked for a stopover and recruit new members for La Liga Filipina on June 27, 1892.

In 1899, Emilio Aguinaldo moved the Capital of the First Philippine Republic from Malolos to several towns to escape American Forces. The Pamintuan House / Mansion located in Miranda Street corner of Sto. Entierro Street became the headquarters and palace of Phillippine revolutionary government. The town of Bacolor was the capital of the Philippines during the British occupation of Manila  when the Spaniards under Simon de Anda retreated in this town.

Typhoon Storm: Maring and Habagat - Our Experience (August 2013)

August 27, 2013 - MARING FLOODED THE CREEK, DAMAGING several houses at Blk 12, St. James St., Phase 2, St. Jude Village, Brgy San Agustin, CSFP  - Photos courtesy of City of San Fernando, Pampanga Facebook Page
Two months ago, Metro Manila and Central Luzon particularly the provinces of Bataan, Pampanga and Bulacan were affected with sudden downpour of heavy rains. We have experienced emergency situation on that particular week. Basic services were on a standstill as people are moving out to higher ground or flocking in to evacuation centers and seeking into safer place during those days of calamities.

There have been some reports of breaches in dam and tail dike in towns nearby especially the neighboring Santo Tomas and Minalin as reported by the mayor and local government official on those affected towns. Emergency units such as Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine National Police, City of San Fernando - LGU Search and Rescue and other affiliated volunteer emergency units are on high alert. Disasters and tragedies have made those affected resilient in such calamities.

Since the days of heavy flooding and mudflow from Mt. Pinatubo in 1991 to the tragic 1 October 1995 onslaught of Typhoon Mameng to recent times alot of Kapampangans, Bulakenyos and other people from Central Luzon have survived and lived to tell tales of such disasters.

People have become conscious and prepared on such disasters and calamities these day but still the people of Central Luzon will rise up again to return to their normal lives.

Tourism in Pampanga: Promoting the best of the province.

During my spare time, I always see this videos when I watch INFOMAX 8, the leading Pampanga channel which caters to the Capampangan people using the native dialect as a medium of reaching the people and also CLTV 36 which is a main channel of the Central Luzon.

There are great places you can see in Pampanga wherein February is the most exciting time of seeing some of those Hot Air Balloons flying at mid-air in the early mornings and late afternoon.
The 15th Philippine Hot Air Balloon Festival will be held on February 11 to 14, 2010 at Clark Freeport Zone. The venue will be along M.A. Roxas Highway (Mitchell Highway) which a approximate less than a kilometer from the main entrance of Clark - SM City Clark and the American Military Cemetery - Clark Air Base.

A Small Tribute to Tita Cory.

Our beloved icon of Philippine democracy which has inspired other countries around the world in the 1980s said her last farewell. I never assumed that her passing would be a bit emotional for most of us who were born and seen her as our adoring mother of our nation after the disintegration of Marcos regime in February 1986 - EDSA People Power Revolution which was flocked by more than 2,000,000 Filipinos who were up against the dictator that tore down this country.

I was only a child then as I remembered flashing the Laban sign and wearing a yellow shirt with the Ninoy's face silkscreened on it. The martial law years was a very dark and terrible year under the Marcos' regime. If we rethink and study the past most of the known governments in Southeast Asia such as Indonesia during Suharto's regime, Myanmar and others have resorted to due to the rising communist threat of the Soviet bloc nations and China.

I feel very reluctant that we were given a strong leader such as her. I underestimated her strength as a woman wherein leading the country is one of the most stressful appointment or position.

Looking back in the past, United States and its allies have devised plans to halt and intervene the spread of communism by indirectly supporting mujaheedeen fighters in Afghanistan, sending combat troops in the fourteen year old Vietnam War which has spread to nearby countries such as Laos and Cambodia which were once part of the colonies of the old French Indochina after World War 2.

Thank you Tita Cory for the wonderful years of helping restore democracy to the Philippines again.
